About me
Born in Manitoba, Canada, raised in Quebec City, Québec, I completed a DEC in Accounting and Management at Champlain St. Lawrence College in Sainte-Foy, QC. In 2023 I entered the mathematics program at Bishop’s University in Sherbrooke, QC where I am completing an Honours B.Sc. degree.
I am currently working on a ISM-CRM funded summer research project on cellular automata combining group theory and category theory with dynamical systems, supervised by Dr. François Huard. I am also serving as Senior Editor (natural sciences) for the Bishop’s Undergraduate Research Journal.
Academically motivated, I’ve consistently remained top of my class, and have been helping others understand math through private tutoring (Precalculus, Calculus, Linear Algera), and TA work in multiple classes as well.
Research
I am currently working on a summer research project funded by the ISM (Institut des Sciences Mathématiques) on one-dimensional cellular automata with periodic boundary conditions over group alphabets, with a functorial/cateogry theoretic perspective, under Dr. François Huard.
Personal Interests
I am a passionate recreational athlete, and I especially enjoy long-distance challenges of all kinds, whether running, cycling, or walking. I am also an avid traveller, having visited 30+ countries.
